$5 off of $20 at Walgreens

Posted by: Tara on: October 24, 2008

If you need anything at the drug store you should take advantage of this coupon.   It can only be used this Friday and Saturday only.  Would probably work at Kroger and Publix as well.  They both took a $5 off $25 from Whole Foods this week for me.

Also check out these mommy blogs from Grocery Gathering on the great deals you can get this week at Walgreens!

Coupon for Sore Throat

Posted by: Tara on: October 22, 2008

I don’t think this would work on Jeff  even after he swallowed a yellow jacket yesterday.  His throat is feeling better.  I hope so, he is filming at Home Depot today.  But anyway……

Slick Deals has this coupon for a BOGO (buy one get one) Cool & Soothe Children’s throat Cooler.  It is 100% drug free and made with Honey.

Last week when I took Brody to the Dr. for his cough, she told me that studies have been done (not by the pharmaceutical companies) show that honey will soothe a cough better than any medicine.

I guess my Mammy knew what she was doing with me 30 yrs ago!

All You Magazine

Posted by: Tara on: October 21, 2008

One of my most favorite magazines to read is “All You”.  You can only find it at Walmart and I look forward to it each month.  It runs about $2.49 a book.  Thanks to Kashif for his school fund raiser, I was able to purchase a 24 issue subscription for $20. But……  one of the best use of the magazine is that it is loaded with coupons!!!!  Yea….

The mom at Penny Pinching Diva has set up a detailed list of all the coupons. You check them out here.

Walmart Deals for the Week of 10/19/08

Posted by: Tara on: October 21, 2008

I know my SIL (sister in LOVE) does really well at Walmart.  I dont like that Walmart does not double coupons.  They have told me that they are a discount shopping center and they dont need to double coupons.

The lady at http://www.dealseekingmom.com/walmart/ has a great list of savings for this week at walmart.

Check it out.  Also, it is helpful to print out the  Walmart corporate coupon policy because some cashiers like to deny taking printed coupons.  Keep in mind that not all Wal-marts are created equal.  I have printed off these lists and not found the same sale price.

Loading coupons to your Kroger Plus Card

Posted by: Tara on: October 21, 2008

There are 3 companies that will allow you to load coupons to your Kroger plus card.  You can use a paper coupon with all the e coupons for FREE products or even better savings.   You do not have to buy 2 of B1G1 items to get the sale price.   Most Kroger stores double coupons that are .50¢ or less.

Kroger is good about having 10 for $10 sales.  Remember, you DO NOT HAVE TO BUY 10 of anything.  Everything will ring up as $1 even if you walk in and buy 1 item.

The Kroger I use will also take competitors coupons as well.  I do not think that they will double the coupon, but they will take them.

From freebies4mom:

CouponsKroger.com provides customers with three great ways to access coupons for their next grocery shopping trip:

(1) Shortcuts –A service of AOL, in partnership with Kroger, the site allows customers to download coupons directly to their Kroger Plus Card. During checkout, coupons are automatically redeemed when your Card is scanned.

(2) P&G eSaver – Did you know that you can download P&G coupons directly to your Kroger Plus Card? During checkout, coupons are automatically redeemed when you scan your Card.

Printable Coupons –Forget to pick up the Sunday paper? No worries. Now you can print coupons directly from the Kroger.com site.

(3) Cellfire - Free down loadable coupons! No need for to print or cut out coupons, download free coupons to your cell phone!

Going out on a limb and blogging!

Posted by: Tara on: October 21, 2008

Hello!  Welcome to my first blog.  I will warn you up front, I AM NOT A WRITER.  I am bad about spell check and sometimes my fingers type slower than my brain.  You may see all kinds of mistakes so please feel free to laugh or ignore me.  (Once on the powerpoint at church I typed brest instead of bread so be aware).

Like Mr. Krabbs from Spongebob, I Love Me Money.  Well, not love, but I know that It is need for the necessities in life.  The more that I can hold onto the better.

I am very blessed to call myself frugal (not cheap by all means), but frugal.  I like nice things, but do not want to pay full price.  I know eventually everything goes on sale.  I know because I am on the internet all the time.  God gave me the gift of mercy (yuck) and I always feel the need to help.

Most of the items I will list here will probably come from other sources.  I belive in giving credit where credit is due and will always link you back to their pages.  If I can help one person save just a little then this is worth it all.

Proverbs 31:27 – She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.
